For more than a decade, I’ve personally hired offshore talent through platforms like Fiverr and Upwork.

Early on, I saw the value: talented graphic designers, developers, and specialists who were perfect for one-time or short-term projects.
But I also saw the limits.
Freelance platforms were great for tasks, but not for building reliable, long-term teams.

What we found surprised a lot of people:
Over time, these offshore team members didn’t just support the business, they replaced local roles and outperformed them.
That was the first moment I realized this wasn’t just about cost savings.
It was about access to great people.
That lesson carried directly into my own company, Silent Disco Party Rentals.
Today, the business employs five full-time offshore team members, all based in the Philippines.
They handle sales, operations, customer support, inventory coordination, and equipment troubleshooting.
They are the heart and soul of the business.
I would not have been able to grow Silent Disco Party Rentals into a nationwide company doing over $2M in revenue without them.

As I talked to more founders and business owners, I realized most people in the U.S. had the same assumption:
“Offshore workers can help with admin… but not much else.”
That simply isn’t true.
Most people don’t realize offshore team members can:
I started My Offshore Staffer to help businesses do this the right way.
Not by throwing people into roles and hoping it works. But by:

This isn’t about cheap labor.
It’s about building reliable, human teams that help businesses grow, and giving talented people access to stable, meaningful work.
If you’re curious whether offshore staffing could work for your business, or you’re not even sure where to start, I’m happy to talk it through. No pressure, just a conversation about what you’re trying to offload and whether this makes sense.
